What makes SeniorsAssistants different from home care directories
Most home care directories make their money by charging providers per lead. This creates a structural conflict: the directory has a financial incentive to push families toward whichever provider is paying the most, not toward whichever provider is the best fit. SeniorsAssistants operates on a different model. Editorial content is produced by the SeniorsAssistants Editorial Team, funded independently of the provider network. When a family completes the matching intake at Find Care, we route them to vetted premium providers in their service area — but we don't get paid per lead, we don't sell family contact information, and we don't push any specific provider over another. The intake asks about the parent's needs, the family's timing, and the payment tier they're working with; we return two to three providers who genuinely fit, and the family decides.
We focus exclusively on private-pay, long-term care insurance, and VA Aid & Attendance benefits — not Medicaid or Medicare programs. The Medicaid program and Medicare are already extensively directoried by CMS and state agencies, and families who qualify for those programs are usually better served by working through those authoritative channels. The gap we fill is the private-pay tier — approximately 60 percent of US home care spending — where families need help evaluating premium providers and understanding what services actually match their situation. That's who SeniorsAssistants is built for, and it's why our editorial content is organized the way it is.
